ONCIMS can be used by the:
- Ministry of Health to: register all the cancer screening centers, view patient statistical reports from screening centers, resource management & forecasting based on statics, and communication to the public; and cancer screening centers.
- Cancer screening centers for: cancer patients’ information management including automated diagnosis; patient clerking, protocol management, tumor board meetings management, follow-up, & imaging; inter and intra center communications, telemedicine support, picture archive communication with real time online case collaboration, Inventory management, Human resource management and pot to PapsAI, a low cost digital microscope slide scanner for pap-smear analysis.
- The community portal is the digital face for Uganda cancer institute with the public providing; booking an appointment with doctor from cancer screening center, AI-powered chatbots to provide authentic information about cancer, access to personalized patient cancer information, access the anonymized public cancer data for research and providing automated cancer risk factors assessment.
